The Symposium was focussed on the relevance of atmospheric composition change on key societal issues as climate change, air quality, human health and ecosystems. It will also deal with outreach themes, such as training the next generation of atmospheric scientists and synthesis of scientific results for policy makers and the general public. The Symposium consisted of five thematic sessions and two outreach sessions: The thematic session included: Atmospheric Composition Change and Climate , Atmospheric Composition Change and Ecosystems, Atmospheric Composition Change and Air Quality , Composition Change and Health and Measuring atmospheric composition changes. The outreach sessions included: Training the Next Generation of Scientists and Science interfaces between policy and society;
