PhD studentship: Atmosphere-biosphere exchange, Edinburgh
A fully funded PhD studentship is available at the School of GeoSciences, The University of Edinburgh/ Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, on the topic: Global-scale modelling of atmosphere-biosphere exchange and interactions between air quality and climate change.
We seek a quantitative scientist with computing skills and a strong interest in modelling air quality and climate. The studentship is open to all EU citizens with, or expected to obtain, a good science degree (UK 2i or equivalent) (e.g. physics, chemistry, computing, etc.).
There are two main aims:
- to develop and evaluate the atmosphere-biosphere exchange scheme within the UK Chemistry-Aerosol model (UKCA); and
- to apply UKCA to understand and quantify key interactions between air quality and climate change.
