International Collaboration
Atmospheric chemistry is a global issue that must be addressed in an international context. Addressing global research questions will require international co-ordination and collaboration since the atmosphere knows no political boundary. European research has a potential to lead in setting research agendas world-wide. ACCENT shall thus promote and co-ordinate European contributions to international programmes such as IGAC/IGBP, GAW/WMO, IPCC, etc.
Within the ACCENT partnership, there are several institutions and scientists who already have links with these international (extra-European) programmes. With the integration of institutions which ACCENT will foster, there will be a better opportunity to enhance and further qualify the European contribution to the above programmes.
