NOAA's Earth System Research Laboratory (ESRL), Global Monitoring Division, is pleased to announce the first call for registration and abstracts for the 40th Anniversary ESRL Global Monitoring Annual Conference, Tuesday, May 15 and Wednesday, May 16, 2012, David Skaggs Research Center, 325 Broadway, Boulder, Colorado.  The theme for this year’s annual conference is “Looking Forward to the Next 55 Years of Global Monitoring.”  In our continuing effort to stay abreast of recent observations concerning trace gases, aerosols, radiation, ozone, and climate forcing, and to provide a forum in which these observations can be relayed and discussed, we will be presenting the ESRL monitoring and research results of the past year.  The meeting is not limited to ESRL reports and includes observations related to these themes by independent and cooperative investigators, and by other national and international programs.  We welcome your active participation at this annual conference.

If you wish to present a paper or poster, submit a one-page abstract focusing on results (including a color figure) via the website below. A sample abstract is available on the web site.  The deadline for receipt of abstracts is April 6, 2012.  You will be notified of acceptance for a presentation or poster by April 20, 2012.  A book/CD with abstracts of the papers and posters will be available at the meeting.
Meeting Information/Registration/Abstract submittal is available at:  Annual Conference Information
