iCACGP/IGAC-2014 First Announcement
On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee, we invite you to participate in the joint 13th iCACGP Quadrennial Symposium and 13th IGAC Science Conference, which is to be held from the 22nd - 26th of September, 2014, in the city of Natal, in northeastern Brazil.
Registration is now open.
The Joint Quadrennial ICACGP Symposia and IGAC Science Conferences provide unique mechanisms for the dissemination of scientific information across the transdisciplinary global atmospheric scientific community. The topical theme of the joint 13th Quadrennial iCACGP Symposium / 13th IGAC Science Conference is “Changing Chemistry in a Changing World”: The foci being our current knowledge and understanding of the chemical, physical and biogeochemical processes, which determine atmospheric composition and behavior, their modification by anthropogenic activity and related feedbacks. Of central significance to the meeting is our knowledge of the fundamental science, which impacts the accuracy of our assessment of both the recent and current impact of human behavior on the earth system, and of the prediction of future air quality, human health, environmental and climate change.

AMS 94th Annual Meeting, 2-6 Feb 2014, Atlanta, Georgia
We kindly invite you to submit an abstract to the session “Cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) and ice nuclei (IN)”, which is part of the 6th Symposium on Aerosol–Cloud–Climate Interactions at the 94th AMS Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, 2-6 February 2014 (http://annual.ametsoc.org/2014/index.cfm/programs-and-events/conferences-and-symposia/sixth-symposium-on-aerosolcloudclimate-interactions/).
Improved understanding and formulations of cloud microphysical processes in models of all scales are essential to quantify and predict the aerosol impact on the hydrological cycle, weather development and climate change. This session welcomes contributions on cloud microphysics including (1) characterizations of atmospheric cloud condensation and ice nuclei, (2) laboratory studies and theoretical developments of CCN and IN processes, (3) investigations of droplet or ice/graupel growth and ice multiplication in clouds, (4) ground-based, remote sensing or aircraft measurements of cloud microphysical processes, (5) development and model applications of parameterizations for aerosol-cloud processes. Abstract submission deadline is already 1 August 2013.
